The book addresses issues surrounding the death of Trayvon, the trial and verdict. Struggle, despair, hope, and action are major themes in the analysis of the issues. Spirituality and non-violence sets the tone as well as strategies for actions to address justice for Trayvon. Racism, injustice in the legal system are viewed within the context of the myriad social inequities confronting the majority of Americans today. The book elicits discussions and dialogues among people of different backgrounds as a source of understanding, and growth beyond the barriers that divide us as a nation.
