Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed has said a historic peace opportunity exists in South Asia in view of changed regional environment and Pakistan and India can move towards resolution of decades-old Kashmir dispute through vision and courage. “A huge opportunity beckons the region, which is home to one fifth of humanity—there is a lot of optimism—we have to build on this optimism with concrete initiatives to resolve the outstanding issues,” he told a gathering of students and South Asian experts at George Mason University on Friday.
