The discussion will be facilitated by Oded Adomi Leshem from the PhD program at S-CAR.
MAHA is a Gaza born-and-based peace activist whose peacebuilding efforts are frequently covered in the media. Maha is a member of Other Voice, a grassroots volunteer initiative for a civil solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. She is also a member of Friendship Across Borders, a joint peace initiative between Germans, Israelis and Palestinians that promotes peace between Palestinians and Israelis, and contributes to reconciliation between Germans and Jews.
Maha is a professional freelance field researcher, organizational consultant and an Arabic-English translator. She studied community development in Canada and has worked for local and international NGOs in Gaza.
Maha currently works for Applied Information Management, which focuses on building the capacity of corporations and social sector institutions in Palestine, as the Gaza Office Coordinator and Senior Arabic/English Translator. She has also been featured with her Israeli friends in an American documentary about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, titled “Bridges Over Blood” and directed by Ose Oyamendan.
