Keynote Speaker: Richard Armitage, former Deputy Secretary of State Kick-Off Morning Speaker: Ambassador Laura Kennedy If you are considering a career path with the U.S. Foreign Service or career path with the U.S. State Department, this is an event that you will want to attend. As a Mason student you will have the opportunity to partake in break-out sessions, engage in a Q&A with professionals who have been committed to diplomatic service for many years, and participate in an oral exam practice exercise. Foreign Service Day will be a full day of engagement, networking, and information to help you demystify some aspects of the Foreign Service, the exam process, and help give more understanding as to what is sought after in a successful Foreign Service Officer. The U.S. State Department Diplomacy Center and the U.S. Foreign Service has committed themselves to helping us facilitate a quality and productive day, enabling students to walk away feeling more confident in their abilities to become Foreign Service Officers.
