The event is being organized by the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution in partnership with the Alliance for Peacebuilding and the United States Institute of Peace.
The symposium will provide a forum for for those in the fields of peacebuilding, peace studies, and conflict resolution as well as professionals in peacebuilding to discuss how graduate programs are training the next generation of scholars and practitioners, with a particular focus on current forms of experiential learning as an enhancement of academic education. The symposium follows on five previous annual meetings that have gathered an increasing number of graduate programs engaged in international peacebuilding and conflict resolution activities. The agenda will consist of a keynote, plenary sessions and small group discussions and workshops to address the developments and challenges in experiential and field-based learning in conflict and post-conflict zones.
