2017 S-CAR Career Intensive Workshop

* What is it?
Need help with getting the job you want? We are offering an intensive career workshop that is specifically tailored to S-CAR students’ fields of interest. This workshop will assist S-CAR students in articulating how the conflict resolution field is applicable to various fields and careers, and will prepare them for the resume, application, and interview process.
* Registration required?
Yes, S-CAR students must register in advance by emailing Maryam Abdallah, Career Advisor, at [email protected].
* What is the topic?
BEFORE the workshop, S-CAR students will receive a sample resume and cover letter template that reflects the resume most frequently used by professionals and applicants in that career track. S-CAR students will then draft or revise their own resume to mirror this template. Students will work with S-CAR staff to ensure that their resumes are appropriately edited before the workshop begins.
DURING the workshop, Students work with S-CAR staff in mock behaivoral interviews, exercises and scenarios that will offer students an opportunity to articulate how their conflict resolution training is relevant to the field/career. Discussion of job search strategies will also occur.
