Writing and Publication Resources:

• The Writing Center - Have an expert review your papers for structural issues and provide writing pointers.  Locate information on how to organize papers, find citation guides, thesis and dissertation supports, ESL and grammer resources, and even how to prepare for public speaking and presentations.
   
• University Dissertation and Thesis Services- Follow these guidelines for formating and submitting your thesis or dissertation.

• Mason Archival Repository Services (MARS)- Secure your writings in Mason's  open access research portal. For more information on open access see here.

• GMU Career Services- Attend workshops on how to write CVs, cover letters and present yourself professionally during your job search.
  
  
• GMU Library Assignment Calculator- This resource offers a deadline calculator and research methods guides at each stage of doing a paper.

Finding Grants

Financial Aid Grants:

Office of Student Financial Aid Grants -  Educational grants including links to Federal Student Aid.

Mason's Postgraduate Fellowships and Scholarships- This GMU office assist students to find fellowships and scholarships for graduate studies. The site offers various resources for finding grants and scholarships. They offers workshops and support applications for Fulbright Scholarships.

GMU Graduate Student Travel Fund- Small grants for graduate students to travel to conferences.

Research Grants:

S-CAR is pleased to support faculty and students with obtaining grants.  All S-CAR grants are administered through the Office of Sponsored Programs. Contact Nathan Curfiss for more information ([email protected])

GMU Office of Research Development (GMU Grants)  - This excellent resource offers workshops, recommended databases and other information about grants and grant writing

The Foundation Center - This site has extensive information about applying for grants and how to use their database.  Their massive database of grants can be found at the Arlington Public Library,  1015 N. Quincy St, Arlington, Virginia 2220.  Contact their reference desk for more information: 703-228-5959.  The public library is about seven (7)  blocks from the Arlington Campus.
