Jason D Reader
Jason Reader is the eldest son of a retired American airman and a working class English mum. He grew up in Hampton Roads, Va. with his younger sister who is a graduate of the Appalachian School of Law. Jason's academic career began at Longwood College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science in December 2004. During a 3 year working hiatus from academics, Jason served as a Senior Corrections Office at the Buckingham Correctional Facility in Dillwyn, VA.
In 2007, Jason enrolled in Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution's Master's Program at George Mason University. He completed his Master's Degree in 2009 with a Master's Thesis entitled: "Quest for Harmony: A Critical Analysis and Resolution of Economic Injustice, Oppression, and Currency." In the following September, Jason joined the 2009 cohort of Doctoral Students at our beloved Institute which has since become the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. His academic interests include terrorism and counter-terrorism, human rights, critical theory, and poverty.
