Conflict Analysis and Resolution
Yasmina Mrabet is a Conflict Resolution Practioner at By Peaceful Means. Previously, she was Director of The Connection Point initiative at Peace X Peace, a global dialogue initiative aimed at connecting Arab, Muslim, and Western women around the world. Yasmina has lived and traveled extensively throughout the Middle East, and her experience in the field of conflict resolution has focused on intercultural dialogue aimed at addressing feelings of mutual fear and suspicion between the ‘West’ and the Arab and Muslim ‘world.’ In addition to active volunteer work in the conflict resolution field, Yasmina also serves her community as a member of the Board of Directors at the Northern Virginia Mediation Service and the Arab Council on Conflict Resolution. Yasmina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia in 2008. She received her Master’s degree from George Mason University’s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, where she focused her research on how Arab Muslim women negotiate identity and navigate conflict in the American university setting.
