Positive/Negative Peace
John Galtung, the father of peace studies, refers to the distinction between "Negative Peace" and "Positive Peace" (Galtung 1964). Negative Peace refers to the absence of violence, it is negative because something undesirable stopped happening. Positive Peace is filled with positive content, and its the integration of human society.
