“Disturbing the Peace” is an award-winning film that tells the stories of people born into conflict, sworn to be enemies, but who found the will to challenge their fate. The film follows the everyday people who took extraordinary actions by standing for what they believe in, just like those who came before them – Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and many others. School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution is proud to host the screening of this incredible film that is running now in US theaters and around the world.

S-CAR through its committed and passionate faculty and students is engaged in facilitation of conversations in many conflict areas in the world. An outstanding Ph.D. student Carol Daniel Kasbari has been working and supporting Combatants For Peace (CFP) - a group of Palestinians and Israelis who have taken an active part in the cycle of violence in the region. For many years she has facilitated discussions within this group. This film tells the story of these courageous group of people, who believe that only nonviolent action can bring peace to them.

Please join the screening of this moving film and conversation with the filmmaker Stephen Apkon and Israeli and Palestinian Combatants hosted by Dean Avruch.
