Dr. Adina Friedman
Adina Friedman holds a PhD from the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University. Dr. Friedman has worked and traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and parts of Europe. Her research interests include international and inter-communal conflict, refuges and internally displaced persons, violence, and conflict & social change in the Middle East/North Africa. As a practitioner, much of her work has focused on the Arab-Israeli/Israeli-Palestinian conflict, specifically looking at issues concerning culture and education, refugees, the environment, and co-existence. Along with Palestinian colleagues, she also runs workshops and other conflict resolution activities for Arabs, Israelis, and Americans in on and off campus settings. Dr. Friedman has published a number of articles, chapters, reviews, and encyclopedia entries on both conflict resolution and the Middle East. She has taken study trips/courses to Morocco, Jordan, Egypt, Israel and Palestine (West Bank and Gaza), and Serbia/Bosnia/Kosovo.
