Joseph Sany has fifteen years of experience working in the fields of peacebuilding, local governance, civil society development and youth development.
He has consulting assignments in more than 25 countries around the world particularly in Africa on training, designing and evaluating programs related to peacebuilding, local governance, civil society development, youth livelihood and leadership. Client organizations include: United States Institute of Peace (USIP), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), United Nations University of peace (Upeace), The United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), FHI 360.
Sany is a member of the American Evaluation Association (AEA), a leading international professional association of evaluators. He has authored and co-authored publications including: "Education and Conflict in Côte d’Ivoire". A Special Report published by the United States Institute of Peace (USIP). "The Reintegration of Ex-Combatants: A balancing Act"(2010).
He is the moderator of the blog African Praxis: A place to share and learn about politics, policies and projects shaping Africa.
