Nathan Curfiss holds a Bachelor's of Individualized Studies degree, which is a culmination of work in the traditional paradigms of Biology and Conflict Analysis and Resolution, from George Mason University. The two seemingly disparate fields were synthesized in a case study examining the implications for a global society of conducting biological research on a local population. In this particular case, the focus was on a 1996 drug trial conducted by Pfizer, Inc. in Kano, Nigeria.
Nathan holds an MS Degree from S-CAR. His concentration was on conflict at the organizational level. Working with former Dean Andrea Bartoli, his studies were synthesized with a focus on generating resources for conflict resolution.
Nathan was the first Grants and Development Manager for S-CAR. He served for two years as the Secretary of the Advisory Board. In July of 2013, he assumed a new role: Admissions and Alumni Affairs Officer. Prior to his work at S-CAR, Nathan worked for a total of nine years in the Finance Departments at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. and the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City.
