Ethiopian Elections and American Foreign Policy

Ethiopia is a critical American ally and partner in the horn of Africa. But in the run-up to national elections this weekend, many human rights groups and members of the Ethiopian-American diaspora voiced concerns about a disturbing pattern of repression there. We examine the global and local implications of the vote, and the evolution of President Obama's policies in Africa as whole.
