Interested in changing the world? The Mason community is cordially invited to a special evening with leading social entrepreneurs John and Susan Collins Marks of Search for Common Ground an international conflict transformation organization on Tuesday, March 6 from 6:30-9:30pm on Arlington campus, Truland 555.  

The evening's theme is "Leading Change through Reflective Practice."  The event will begin at 6:30 with a reception and time for community building. This will be followed at 7:30pm by remarks from Ann Baker Senior Associate Dean of the School of Public Policy, Greg Werkheiser, Director of the Mason Social Entrepreneurship, and Andrea Bartoli, Dean of the School of Conflict and Analysis and Resolution.  Following the presentations by John and Susan Collins Marks, attendees will have the opportunity engage in a community conversation led by Mark Thurston, Senior Fellow at the Center for Consciousness and Transformation.

John Marks is president and founder of Search for Common Ground and also heads Common Ground Productions.  A Senior Ashoka Fellow and best-selling, award-winning, author, in 2006 he was awarded a Skoll Fellowship for Social Entrepreneurship. 

Susan Collin Marks is Senior Vice President of Search for Common Ground. A native South African, she worked as a peacebuilder during her country’s transition from apartheid to democracy. For over 20 years, Susan has facilitated dialogues and done one-on-one coaching for political, institutional and civil society leaders worldwide.
