Learn to identify and analyze sources of conflict, and apply conflict resolution theories to practical, real-world situations in your community, workplace, and personal life.
The minor curriculum consists of core courses in conflict analysis and resolution theory and practice, providing students the opportunity to practice conflict resolution techniques such as mediation, facilitation, negotiation, and dialogue. Supporting courses selected from across the social sciences allow students to focus their study of conflict on different regions of the world, levels of society,or areas of conflict resolution practice.

8 credits must be unique to minor and cannot count towards another major, concentration, or minor
Required core courses (9 credits):
- CONF 101 Conflict and Our World OR CONF 210 Theories of Conflict Analysis and Resolution
- CONF 300 Conflict Resolution Techniques and Practice
AND one of the following (3 credits):
- CONF 302 Culture, Identity & Conflict
- CONF 320 Interpersonal Conflict Analysis and Resolution
- CONF 330 Community, Group, and Organizational Conflict Analysis and Resolution
- CONF 340 Global Conflict Analysis and Resolution
Two elective CONF Courses (6 credits):
Student select six credits of conflict analysis and resolution courses from core, elective, or special topics courses, in addition to core credits.
